Diddy Officially Lets Mase Out Of Bad Boy Contract

It's official, after 16 years of being tied to Bad Boy, Mase is now a free agent.  After more than a decade of being tied to Bad Boy through contract, Mase can finally say he is a free agent. The now-former Bad Boy rapper revealed the other day that he is no longer legally bound to Bad Boy Records. Mase revealed the news to MTV's RapFix, saying Diddy let him out of the contract just recently. "I've been in that contract for 16 years," he said, "Yeah, the other day he let me out of it, so big shout-outs to Diddy, I guess he woke up feeling good and he wanted to do something good." Now that Mase is a free man, will he be looking to sign with a different label? The smooth rapper said, "At this point, I don't really want to be under nobody from the aspect of being tied in a long, long contract. It's kinda like breaking up; you don't want to jump into a new relationship." However, if he is looking at his options, G.O.O.D. Music may be one of them. Mase and Kanye West have a shared history, as Mase gave 'Ye one of his first looks as a producer on his Harlem World album The Movement. "One of his [Kanye West's] first beats was on the Harlem World album and I believe it was genuine on my part, so if he turned around and helped me, it would just be like karma," Mase said of the possibility. He continued to ponder the idea of a G.O.O.D. Music deal, "I'ma have to go somewhere. I would entertain that," Mase added, "I love Kanye, I love what he does musically, I love his ability to push the envelope. I like to be around people that's not afraid to be different." We'll have to wait and see where Mase ends up now that he's no longer with Diddy's crew. Do you think G.O.O.D. Music would be a 'good' fit?
